At TripleM Reviews, we believe beauty and wellness are more than skin deep. When we discovered Made By Coopers’ Comforting Face & Body Oil, a product rooted in plant-based therapy and emotional wellbeing, we knew we had to experience it as a team. After all, what better way to assess a wellness product than through a diverse group of reviewers, each with unique skin types, routines, and self-care needs?
Over the course of four weeks, our panel used the oil on face, body, hair, and even nails—testing it morning and night, on hectic days and quiet evenings. In this feature, we explore what makes this product more than just a moisturiser and share how its brand story, clean formulation, and sensory experience came together to impress us.
The heart of this product lies in the powerful story behind its brand. Made By Coopers was founded by Clare and Darren Cooper, who left the chaos of modern life to embark on a three-month journey through India, where they immersed themselves in yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda. Clare, having suffered from chronic anxiety, found peace in natural healing practices, and returned home with a mission: to bottle that transformation.
The result is a growing range of natural, vegan, and cruelty-free skincare and wellness products, handcrafted in the UK with therapeutic-grade essential oils and botanicals. Their goal is to nourish both the skin and the soul. And that’s not just marketing speak. Clare personally formulates each blend using aromatherapy principles, drawing from real-life experience and emotional intention.
The Comforting Face & Body Oil is one of their signature products—and after using it extensively, we can say it truly embodies their ethos.
Unboxing the Comforting Oil was, in itself, a gentle ritual. The amber glass bottle feels like something you’d find in a high-end apothecary—elegant, minimal, sustainable. The rose petals suspended in the oil make it feel intentionally crafted, rather than mass-produced. It’s visually striking but not flashy—reassuringly premium in a quiet way.
As for the scent, it’s both grounding and uplifting. The blend of patchouli, orange, and bergamot creates a rich, earthy foundation lifted by bright citrus notes. It’s not overwhelming, synthetic, or perfumy. The aroma dissipates subtly after application, leaving behind only a hint of freshness. Several of us used it as a form of on-the-go aromatherapy during stressful moments—applied to pulse points like wrists and temples for an instant mood lift.
The texture is silky without being greasy. A few drops go a long way, especially on damp skin. It spreads smoothly, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave a residue, which is rare for multipurpose oils. Whether used on the face or body, it felt light and breathable—never sticky or suffocating.
We’re serious about ingredients at TripleM, and this oil passed our scrutiny with flying colours.
The base blend is a symphony of cold-pressed oils:
Argan oil, known for its high vitamin E content and ability to soften and hydrate.
Avocado oil, loaded with nourishing vitamins A, D, and E, deeply moisturising without clogging pores.
Cherry kernel oil, rich in antioxidants and vitamin A—ideal for refining texture and boosting skin regeneration.
Peach kernel oil, a lightweight hydrator that improves elasticity and skin tone.
Grapeseed oil, a favourite among those with sensitive or acne-prone skin for its anti-inflammatory properties.
Infused with essential oils—patchouli to ground, orange to uplift, bergamot to calm—and real rose petals for added luxury, this oil is both skincare and sensory experience.
The formulation is vegan, cruelty-free, free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulphates, and all the usual chemical suspects. For those of us who care about clean beauty (which is all of us), this product ticks every box.
We tested this oil across multiple routines—face, body, hair, nails—and here’s how it stacked up.
On the Face
Most of our team used the oil after cleansing, pressing a few drops into damp skin. Within a week, we noticed enhanced suppleness and a soft radiance. It didn’t clog pores or cause breakouts, even on combination or sensitive skin. Dry patches around the nose and chin became visibly softer, and in the colder days of our trial period, it helped stave off wind-induced dehydration.
Some testers layered it with their usual moisturiser or serum, while others used it as a standalone treatment. Either way, it played well with other products and makeup didn’t slide off during the day.
The only caveat: those with very oily skin may prefer to use it at night or a few times a week rather than daily.
On the Body
Post-shower, the oil excelled. Applied to damp skin, it locked in moisture without leaving an oily sheen. One of our testers, who struggles with eczema-prone legs, said it helped soothe and soften flare-ups better than any body butter she’d used recently.
The scent lingered just long enough to offer a calming boost, especially during hectic mornings or before winding down for bed.
Perhaps the most compelling feedback from our testers was around mood. This oil didn’t just hydrate—it grounded, uplifted, soothed.
The scent became a signal. A few drops meant it was time to pause, breathe, be present. Some of us added it to our yoga sessions. Others used it before stressful meetings. A few incorporated it into their nighttime rituals to ease anxiety and promote sleep.
This is where Made By Coopers’ holistic philosophy really shines. It’s not just skincare—it’s care, period.
Made By Coopers also offer a Relaxing Face & Body Oil, which features lavender, frankincense, and ylang-ylang. We tried both and noticed clear distinctions.
Comforting Oil is daytime-friendly. Uplifting, energising, grounding. Ideal for busy mornings or emotional reset moments.
Relaxing Oil feels deeper, more sedative—better suited for pre-bedtime rituals or post-bath unwinding.
Both are beautiful, but the Comforting blend felt more versatile to us overall.
While we loved this product, it’s fair to consider some trade-offs.
The 60 ml bottle may run out quickly if you’re using it head-to-toe daily. At £27.50, it sits in the mid-to-premium category—but the quality of ingredients and craftsmanship justify the price point. Still, if budget’s a concern, you may want to use it more selectively—as a luxury treat or part of a weekly ritual rather than daily staple.
Also, if you’re not a fan of earthy essential oils like patchouli, the scent might not be for you. It’s beautifully blended, but scent is subjective.
ALL IN ALL: Who This Is For
If you’re someone who wants your skincare to do more—who seeks moments of peace in the chaos, who values ethically sourced, plant-based products, who sees ritual as part of routine—then this oil is absolutely for you.
It’s especially suited for:
Dry or dehydrated skin types
Sensitive souls who want to calm their mind through scent
Those looking for a clean, multitasking product
Anyone trying to build a slow, intentional self-care ritual
After a month of use, we can confidently say that Made By Coopers Comforting Face & Body Oil is one of the most thoughtful, well-formulated, and soul-nourishing products we’ve tested this year.
It’s more than hydration in a bottle. It’s a pause button. A reset. A moment of groundedness in a busy world.
And for that, it earns our full-hearted recommendation.
